GRINDS
Frontside: jump on to the grinding
surface with your feet about shoulder width apart and slide with both
feet flat
Backside: approach the
grinding surface in the opposite direction that u normally approach
then jump 180 on to the surface with both feet shoulder width apart and
flat.
Darkside: jump over the
obstacle that is being grinded (example jump over the back of a bench
and grind the front lip)
Alley-opp: It's when
you perform the trick backwards.
Transition: It's when
you combine two or more tricks in one grind.
Two step: grinding 2 surfaces
one with each foot
Unnatural grind: any
grind done in the opposite stance the person is used to (i.e. regular
stance doing goofy or vice versa)
Torqued Frontside
(Power glide): jump on to
the grinding surface with your feet about shoulder width apart then
torque the leading foot so anyone in front can see the whole of the
plate get it down low.
Power Slide: (taken
from NYCS) Grind as you would a Frontside but turn your back foot so
that someone standing to the back of your grind could see your grind
plate.
Shuttle: Grind as you
would a Frontside but turn your front foot so that someone standing to
the back of your grind could see your grind plate.
Access-A-Ride: (taken
from NYCS) Grind as you would a Frontside but turn your back foot so
that someone standing to the front of your grind could see your grind
plate.
Farfengnugen: just
like the royal but the torque is in the opposite direction so from the
back both soles are visible
Royal: just like a
front side but torque both feet so you are grinding on the back part of
the plate of each shoe so from the front both soles are visible.
UFO: just like a front
slide but both feet are turned away from each other so you grind on the
inside of both shoes plates.
Cab driver: like the
UFO in reverse so both feet are facing each other and you grind on the
outside of both shoes plates
Unity: cross your legs
and grind on the outside of each plate like the cab driver
Drag queen: front side
like normal but the back foot is only connected on the toe and not on
the plate so it drags.
Backslide: jump on to
the grind like a Frontside but only land the back foot torqued on the
outer edged grab the leading foot on the plate.
Fast slide: jump on the
grinding surface just like a Frontside but only land your front foot
then grab the back one
Cheese grater: jump on
like a normal front slide but both feet are pointing in opposite
directions.
Sidewalk: This is like
a Frontslide except your back foot is upside down on its laces instead
of on its plate.
Acid sidewalk: same as
sidewalk but the front foot is facing the opposite direction to normal
GRABS
Safety: Pull your feet
up and your knees to your chest use your either hand to reach down on
the same side and grab the bottom of the same-sided foot. I.e. so you
can have left safety and right safety
Power glide sole grab:
pull a power glide but get low and extend the leading foot and then
grab the whole exposed plate with the same hand.
Power slide sole grab: pull
a power slide and then get low and extend the trailing foot and grab
the exposed sole with the same hand
Unity grab: pull a
front slide or unity and grab both feet’s toes with the
opposite hands.. that’s a lota crossed limbs if u did it on a
unity.
